Bette Winter

A Camas resident for 29 years, Mrs. Bette M. Winter, 50, of Rt. 1, Box 755, died Tues., April 18.

Services were held Thurs., April 20, at Straub’s Swank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. George Jefferson officiating.  Interment was in Fern Prairie Cemetery. 

Born in Rock Springs, Wyo., Nov. 1, 1921, she was a member of the Navy Mothers Club, the Ireland Ladies Club, and the Fern Prairie Grange.

Survivors are her husband, Lawrence R. Winter; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey McCormack of Portland, a son, Dennis Winter, with the U.S. Navy at Ft. Meade, Md., a daughter, Susan Dolney, at home; two brothers, William McLean, Lebanon, Ore., and Robert McLean of Portland; a sister Nancy Ray of Portland; and three grandchildren.
