Jane Alice Woodworth
Jane Alice Woodworth peacefully passed away on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at Highland terrace Nursing Home in Camas, Washington. Born on January 12, 1915 in Portland, Oregon to Frank B. and Alice (Cadonau) Hillis; Jane was 96 years old.
A Camas resident since 1965, Jane worked as a teacher for the Camas School District before retiring. She was an active member of the Fern Prairie United Methodist Church in Camas and was their organ and pianist until she could no longer play. She had a passion for music and education and a deep love for her family, friends, and her Lord.
Jane is survived by her sister Frankie Stratton of Kalispell, Montana; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lloyd Woodworth and daughter Alice Kimes.
There will be a celebration of Jane’s
life on Saturday, October 15th at 1:30 p.m. at the Fern Prairie
United Methodist Church: 26112 NE Brunner Road; Camas, WA 98607. Vault interment will follow at the Fern
Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Brown’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with
arrangements.
