Mabel Burres
CAMAS – Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Straub’s Swank Memorial Chapel here for Mabel E. Burres, 87, a Camas-area resident for 40 years.
Mrs. Burres died Saturday in Ketchikan, Alaska.
She had lived the past 10 years in Alaska.
Mrs. Burres was born June 18, 1889, in Belleplaine, Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, George of Camas and Donald of Ketchikan; a daughter, Dorothy Margeson of Fairbanks, Alaska; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
The Rev. Weldon de Meurers will officiate at Thursday’s funeral. Internment will be in Fern Prairie Cemetery.

Her husband was Elbert Orlando (Erastus) Burres per relative. Unknown what happened to him.
