ObituaryNumae E. Cameron
Numae
E. Cameron, age 75, died at her home in Camas on Friday, July 9.
She
was born on December 27, 1906 at Des Allemands, Louisiana and had lived most of her life in New Orleans.
She
was employed as a clerk/typist in the Purchasing Department for the city of New Orleans for many
years. She has made her home in Camas
since June 1978.
She
was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas, the Third Order of St.
Francis and the Sodality, both at Immaculate Conception Church in New Orleans, the Senior Citizens Group at St. Thomas Church and the Friends Women’s
Missionary Fellowship.
Surviving
her are two daughters, Marie Morasch of Camas and Norma Elfer of New Orleans;
two brothers, Bruce Elfer of Kenner, Louisiana and Norman Elfer of New Orleans;
a sister, Heloise Gammon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and six grandchildren.
Recitation
of the Rosary was held on Thursday, July 15, 7:00 p.m. at Straub’s Chapel with
the Rev. Fr. Ron Belisle as celebrant. Giving the Eulogy was the Rev. Dick Edmundson. Interment followed at Fern Prairie Cemetery.
In
lieu of flowers, remembrances are suggested to the Memorial Fund at St. Thomas
Catholic Church.
