James H. Cavitt
James H. Cavitt Dies in Vernonia
James Hiram Cavitt, a resident of Clark County and Washougal all of his life, died Saturday, May 19, in Vernonia, Ore., at the age of 76.
Mr. Cavitt was born Dec. 18, 1879, in Vancouver and moved to Washougal where he made his home. He was a retired lumberman and sawmill operator.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie, at home; two brothers, Ben Cavitt of Washougal and Richard Cavitt of Brush Prairie; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Odoms of Berkeley, Calif.; six step-sons and five step-daughters.
Funeral serve was Tuesday, May 22, at the Stoller Roselight Chapel with the Rev. E. R. Kaemmer officiating, Mrs. Florence Bailey was vocalist, Miss Velma Hathaway, organist.
