Laura Dickson
A memorial service will be held Saturday for Laura E. Dickson, 94, of Vancouver. She died Jan. 12, 1996, at Park Lido Retirement Home in Vancouver.
She was born Dec. 21, 1901, in Shelby, Iowa, and moved to Clark County in 1927. She was a homemaker and a member of Fern Prairie United Methodist Church. She played the piano and taught Sunday school at her church. In addition, Dickson was a member of the Fern Prairie Missionary Society and enjoyed crocheting afghans.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Roth of Glenwood, Wash.; sons, Robert Dickson of Vancouver and Floyd Dickson of Nampa, Idaho; sisters, Marion Fritz of Rippley, Iowa, Dorothy Stemm of Mountain Home, Ark., and Ruth Mork of Manning, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held at Fern Prairie United Methodist Church, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Fern Prairie United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Seaman’s Center, 712 W. Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98660.
