of Fern Prairie Dies in Vancouver
Mrs.
Julia Ann Fletcher, 92, pioneer Fern Prairie resident, died at her home in Vancouver on Christmas
day, her birthday.
Born
in Richmond, West VA.,
Mrs. Fletcher came to this community in 1886 and has lived in this area since
then. She was an honorary member of the
Progress Rebekah lodge and a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral
services were conducted at a Vancouver funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment was made in Fern Prairie cemetery.
Surviving
are four sons: Irwin R. Fletcher, route 1, Camas; and Clifford C. Fletcher, Roy
J. Fletcher and J. Frank Fletcher of Vancouver; and two daughters: Mrs. Ida V.
West, Portland, and Mrs. Edith Adams, Vancouver; 11 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren. Another son, W. B.
Fletcher, and her husband preceded Mrs. Fletcher in death.
