ObituaryClifton “Kippy” Ford
Clifton “Kippy” Ford, best known as the World Champion Mule Brayer in 1980, died May 4
in Vancouver.
Born Feb. 10, 1921, in Newport, Ark.,
Ford has been a Camas-Washougal resident since 1949.
He worked for Crown Zellerbach, Gregg’s
Roofing and Twin City Saddle Club.
He loved horses and enjoyed the
rodeo clown. He was also an avid elk
hunter.
Ford is survived by his wife
Katheryn at home; son Larrie of Coupeville, Wash.; daughter Nola Restorff of
Vancouver; brothers Bill Ford of Haskell, Okla., and Wade Ford of Medford,
Ore.; sisters Ina Brook of Roseville, Calif., Zelda Wilbanks of Camas, Louise
Royal of Vancouver, and Nadine McDowell of Vancouver; many nieces and nephews;
his brother-in-law Charles Rick and sister-in-law Barbara Rick.
Services were held yesterday at
Brown’s Funeral Home followed by burial at Fern Prairie Cemetery with the Rev.
Frank Smith and the Rev. Clifford McIntosh officiating.
