Obituary
Vivian Anderson
A Camas resident since 1954, Vivian Permelia Anderson, 81, died Monday, June 9, 1997, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Crown Retirement and Washougal Grange. She loved playing cards with friends. She was born April 29, 1916, in Blue Hill, Nev.
She is survived by one daughter, Prudence Lewton of Camas; one son, Edward J. of Washougal; her twin brother, Peter J. Merten of Grand Island, Nev.; and four grandchildren.
An evening vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, followed by burial in Fern Prairie Cemetery. The casket will be open from 7 to 9 tonight and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
