Services
will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bateman Funeral Chapel for Viola M.
Granger of Portland, who died Saturday in Vancouver, Wash.
Born
May 26, 1922 in Walters, Okla., she moved to Washington in 1942 and to Portland in 1957.
Survivors
include four sons, Emmitt Granger of Canby, Edgar Granger of Gresham, John
Granger of Portland, and Phillip Granger of Salem; four daughters, Neggie Parke
of Gresham, Brinda Guillaume of Camas, Wash., and Anna Wallace and Sue Simshaw
both of Portland; five brothers, Paul Cooper of Earth, Texas, Clarence Cooper
of Amarillo, Texas, Jessie Cooper of Pasco, Wash., Archie Cooper of McLean,
Texas and Chester Cooper of Coke Dale, Colo.; and four sisters, Mozelle Miller
of Portland, Neggie Morrow of Walla Walla, Wash., and Minnie Erwin and Susie
Trout, both of McLean, Texas.
Burial
was at Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas, Wash.
Viola
M. Cooper was born in the back of a covered wagon. Per daughter Anna Wallace.
