FERN PRAIRIE MAN
DIED LAST MONDAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS
FERN PRAIRIE MAN
WAS VETERAN OF CIVIL WAR
W.
S. Hall, a member of Orchards G. A. R. camp, Lew Wallace, who died in Fern
Prairie Monday, was a veteran of the Civil war, where he served in the 183rd Pennsylvania infantry for three years, being honorably discharged at the close
of the war.
William S. Hall Family
So, sometime between 1880 and 1890 the family moved to Clark
County, Washington.
In 1880 William was listed as head of household on the
census. Alice Hall was listed as
spouse. Children listed were Elizabeth
Hall, age 15; Louis Hall, age 13; Minnie Hall, age 11; Cora Hall, age 9;
William Hall, age 4; Melvina Hall, age2.
Although Joseph Hall was not mentioned on the 1880 census, information
we have say he was born in 1871. In 1889
Emogene Hall was born. The 1900 census
shows Maud Hall but does not list her age.
I assume she was born after Emogene and probably was about one year
old. It appears all the children were
either married or maybe died by 1900.
