James C. Hammill

 CAMAS – James C. Hammill, 53, died Friday July 17, 2004 in Davenport, Iowa where he was attending his 35th high school reunion.

Mr. Hammill was born Jan. 10, 1951 in Davenport.

He retired after working 20 years for Crown Cork and Seal Company in Portland.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia, at home; his mother, Marie Allen of Davenport; one daughter, Jennifer Hope of Camas; one son, Joseph J. of Seattle; one brother, Phillip T. Jr. of davenport; one sister, Janet Sabel of Davenport; and his grandmother, Maggie Hope Shermer of Iowa. 

He had been involved with 5-H, was a Little League coach and a volunteer firefighter for District 9 of Camas.

A funeral Mass was Wednesday in Davenport.  A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas.  Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.  Sign the guest book at www.straubsfuneralhome.com .
