TEACHER DIES IN VANCOUVER
Miss Abbott, Long Portland Resident
Miss Henrietta Mackay Abbott, for many years a teacher in the Portland public schools and since April 14, 1926, a stenographer in the office of the city attorney, died Monday morning at the home of Mrs. Alice Schlickeiser, 2233 N.E. 10th avenue, where she had been living since an illness early in July.
Miss Abbott was born in Clark county, Washington, near Mill Plains, January 27, 1869. She was the daughter of Webster and Mary Abbott, pioneers of Clark county. Miss Abbott attended school in Vancouver before beginning her career as a public school teacher. She is survived by a brother, Webster Abbott, of Mill Plain.
Funeral services will be held in Vancouver. Arrangements for the services have not been completed.

Henrietta Mackay Abbott
Funeral service for Miss Henrietta Mackay Abbott, 71, stenographer in the office of the city attorney and ex-Portland school teacher, will be held at Knapp Mortuary in Vancouver, Wash. Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Miss Abbott died in Portland Monday after an illness of several months.
Interment will be in the Fern Prairie Cemetery.
