ObituaryJames “Jim” “J.D.” Douglas Hollingsworth Jr. peacefully passed
away on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at his home in Camas. Born on June 16, 1952 in Vancouver, Jim
was 56 years old.
A lifetime Clark County resident, Jim graduated from Columbia
River High School in 1970. He served in the United States Navy from 1972-1980, and went to work
for Hewlett Packard for 29 years. Jim was a member of the American Legion in
Vancouver, the Moose Lodge, and the National Rifleman’s Association. He enjoyed
movies, WWII military memorabilia, scuba diving, fishing, music, cats, and
working on Fords and Harleys. Most of all, Jim enjoyed being around his family
and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Carole at home, parents James
and Theo Hollingsworth, brothers Tony Hollingsworth, and Ted (Yvonne)
Hollingsworth, daughter Carolyn (Jason) Masuoka, three granddaughters Shawnee,
Shayla and Cheyenne, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Jim’s life on Sunday, April 26th at 2:00 pm at
Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas. A graveside service with full military honors
will follow at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Viewing will be held Wednesday-Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the
funeral home.
Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with
arrangements.
