Rev. Flora E. Hood, 58, of 1430
“I” Street, Washougal, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, in a Vancouver hospital.
Services were held Saturday, Nov.
25, at the First Church of God, Vancouver, with the Rev. Calvin Bralier
officiating. Interment was in Fern
Prairie cemetery with Swank Memorial Chapel in charge.
Mrs. Hood was born Sept. 9, 1909,
at Manford, Okla., and had resided in Washougal the past
six years. She was ordained in the
ministry July 7, 1950, and was a member of the Good News Club for Neighborhood
Children and the Camas-Washougal Church of God.
Survivors are her husband, the
Rev. Walter F. Hood; two sons, the Rev. Raymond Hood of St. Helens, Ore., and
Edwin Lee Hood of St. Mary’s, Idaho; one daughter Mrs. Christie Morris of
Renton, Wash.; one foster daughter, Mrs. Nancy Hastings, Vancouver; brothers,
Alfred Kinion of Midwest, Wyo., Ernest Kinion of Buffalo, Wyo.; the Rev. Archie
Kinion, David Kinion and Chester Kinion, all of Sand Springs, Okla.; sisters,
Mrs. May Chastain, Olivehurst, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Bell of Sand Springs, Okla.,
and Mrs. Bessie Duncan, Bristow, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Contributions may be made to the
church memorial fund in her name.
