Walter F. Hood
The Rev. Walter Franklin Hood,
87, of Dallesport, Wash.,
died July 2, 1991, in The Dalles, Ore.
Hood was born Jan. 31, 1904, in
Granden, Mo., and moved to Dallesport, Wash.,
five years ago. He served as the pastor
of the Community Church of God in Washougal from 1962-71. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring old
boats and his winter home in Yuma, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife, E.
Leona Hood; sons, Raymond W. Hood of Hillsboro, Ore., and Edwin L. Hood of
Cheney, Wash.; daughter Christy Wolfkill of Issaquah, Wash.; stepson, Howard
Ellison of Kennewick, Wash.; stepdaughters, Eloise Woods of Kennewick, Wash.,
Lorraine Holmes of Portland, and Priscilla Smith of Black Butte, Ore.; brother,
Oscar Hood of Canyon City, Colo.; sisters, Golden Fry of Tulsa, Okla., and
Violet Williamson of Riverside, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 14
step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
His funeral was held Saturday at
the First Church of God in Vancouver. Burial followed at Fern Prairie Cemetery.
