Helen Blanch Israel

BRUSH PRAIRIE—A homemaker who enjoyed playing the organ, reading and flower gardening, Helen Blanche Israel, 93, died at her Brush Prairie home Friday, Nov. 10, 1995.  She had lived in Clark County since 1937.

Mrs. Israel is survived by four daughters, Betty L. Engelking and Bonnie G. Larson, both of Sandy, Ore., and Shirley A. Israel and Martha J. Ford, both of Brush Prairie; three sons, Vernon F. and Glenn W., both of Vancouver, and Robert W. of Washougal; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Israel was born July 31, 1902, in Plessis, Iowa.

Her husband, Floyd, died in 1969.

A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas, followed by private burial in fern Prairie Cemetery.  The casket will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
