 Hazel I. Johnson

 A former resident of Camas and Washougal, Hazel I. Johnson, died of heart failure Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital in Clackamas, Ore.  She was 77.

 Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker, was born January 31, 1920, in Grundy County, Iowa.

 Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Glee H., at home; one daughter, Pat Cross of Vancouver; three sons, Gary of Portland, Jim of Eugene, and Michael of Vancouver; one brother, Bobby McMurray of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

 A funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rita Catholic Church in Portland.  Private burial will be at Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas.
