Harvey E. Pfeifer

A funeral will be held Wednesday for Harvey Elmer Pfeifer, 80, of Camas.  He died Jan. 11, 1992, in Battle Ground.

Pfeifer was born March 23, 1911, in Danube, N. D., and moved to the local area from Minnesota in 1929.  He worked for the paper mill in Camas for a period and later owned and operated his own Milk route for several years.  Later, Pfeifer worked for Pendleton Woolen Mills in Washougal for 20 years before retiring as a spinning boss.  After retirement, he built a cabin at Klipson Beach on the Washington Coast.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Pfeifer at home in Camas; sons, Wilbert and David Pfeifer of Vancouver, and Wesley Pfeifer of Ridgefield, Wash.; daughter Anita Thompson of Camas; sister, Vila Tweedt of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

His funeral will be held at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas, beginning at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow at Fern Prairie Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Fern Prairie Methodist Church.

Straub’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
