Marie S. Pfeifer
Marie Susanna Pfeifer died May 9, in Vancouver. She was 60.
Pfeifer was born Feb. 23, 1940, in Butte, Mont., to Fanny (Kangas) and Arne Mackey. She moved back and forth between Butte and Vancouver/Camas area as a child. She graduated from Camas High School in 1958 and married Will Pfeifer in June of that same year. The couple lived in Camas and Vancouver before settling in Fern Prairie in 1969. Pfeifer was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, music and rock hounding.
Pfeifer is survived by her husband, Will, of Fern Prairie; son, Michael of Camas; daughter, Sherie Lewis and Julie Brown, both of Vancouver and Peggie Scott of Washougal; brother John Mackey of Vancouver; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held on May 13 at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will follow at the Fern Prairie Cemetery.
