MARJORIE RHODE (RANKIN)
April 19, 1924 ~ June 27, 2008- Marjorie (Rankin) Rhode, 84, of
Marj moved with her parents to the Ireland District of Fern Prairie, WA in 1926. Marj attended a one room school, where, on the first day of school, she met the man she would marry in 1941, when he, Robert Rhode, joined the Navy.
Marj was well known to downtown Camas, WA merchants and shoppers.
She worked at Cornet and at Coast to Coast Hardware. She later worked as a real
estate agent. After her husbands’ retirement from the paper mill, they became
owners of the Beacon Rock Mobile Home Park from 1978 to 1988. Since that time
they enjoyed living in
\"She was a beloved sister, and a wonderful mother, making each of her children feel special. She was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her.\"
She is survived by her five children: Joan Huston, Linda
MacGregor, Bob Rhode Jr.,
Marj is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert
Rhode, Sr. A private service will be
held by the family.
