Milo Templer
Mrs. Strock, of Anacortes, Washington arrived Monday to be at the bedside of her brother, Milo Templer, but was too late to see him alive, as he had passed away a few hours before her arrival.
Milo Templer, who died at his home on Fern Prairie Monday morning, May 24, was born at Maryville, Wisconsin, on April 14, 1862, and was married to Miss Louise Day at Pipestone, Minnesota, on April 14, 1892. To this union were born nine children, five girls and four boys, who, with the widow, survive him. They moved to this place about five years ago from North Dakota, where they had lived for three years.
Mr. Templer was converted a number of years ago and joined the Christian church. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and will be sadly missed in the home and also in the community. He had been a sufferer for several years from cancers, having had several removed, the last operation being performed in March, but he grew worse until death relieved his sufferings. He was patient and cheerful all through his sickness. The children are: Mrs. Willa Krohn, of Washougal; Mrs. Florence Cramer, of Astoria, Oregon; Vern, Dewey, Ruby, Cecil, Daisy, Earl and Nellie at home. He also leaves three sisters and three brothers, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon at the church by Rev. J. F. Mobley, the body was laid to rest in the Fern Prairie cemetery. The grave was covered with beautiful flowers. The sorrowing family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community.
