Dorothy Mae Collins Walters

Dorothy May Walters died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in Vancouver.  She was 74.

Walters was born March 10, 1926, in Cberaw, Colo., to Silas and Viola Collins.

She lived all over the United States and lived for several years in Eugene, Ore., before moving to Clark County 24 years ago.  Walters was a professional dietitian and worked for many nursing homes.  She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

She is survived by a daughter, Georgia Rice of Camas; foster daughter, Claudia Kienboltz of Port Orchard, Wash.; brothers, George Collins of Eugene, Phillip Collins of Eugene, Arthur Collins of Umatilla, Ore., David Collins of Orchards, Wash.; sisters, Leona Andrus of Eugene and Maxine Coy of Mount Home, Ark.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Sept. 20 at the Fern Prairie Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be given to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1207 E. Reserve, Vancouver, WA 98661
