Marie Wegner passed away on February 27, 2010, at home in
During her life she held various jobs including owning a hair salon, illustrating shoes for May Company catalogs, and keeping books. Her hobbies were numerous and she was accomplished in each of them. She was a talented artist, leaving many oil paintings as a reminder of her life; an exceptional seamstress; and a gifted gardener. She also loved to knit and read.
She was preceded in death by husbands Colin Hooper and Leonard Wegner; sons Arthur Hooper and Norman Brousseau; great-grandson Dashric Long; and grandson-in-law, Bill Nelson.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Harriet Hooper; nine grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a private celebration of Myrtle’s life
Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
